This past month I traveled to New York City for the ASIS NYC Security Expo at the Javits Center. First, I have to offer kudos to the event chair, Ray Dean, who did a terrific job organizing the show, as well as to all the members of the NYC chapter, for a job very well done.
As I walked the floor and met with members, I was struck by how our field, and as a reflection of that trend, the ASIS membership, has changed in recent years. It's not a stretch to say our profession is evolving.

Russia is inviting a limited number of ASIS members to an international chapter meeting in Moscow in August. This will be a unique opportunity to meet Russian security professionals and learn about what is going on and the near future in the Republic of Russia.
